AMKIZ

BIOGRAPHY

DJ Amkiz is an emerging force within the hard dance, techno and schranz scene. His sound is known for its raw energy, strong rhythms and unmistakable drive, which quickly brought him to the attention of big names in the Belgian and international dance scene since his debut.

His breakthrough came just before the COVID-19 pandemic with his track ‘Panty Drop’, which was picked up and released by the renowned label Noize Junky. It was the official start of his musical career.

Not long after, ‘Club Banger’ followed, a song that immediately caught the attention of Mark With A K and Deejay Pat B, who both expressed their support. The name Banger has since become a term often used when a track really makes an impression — a subtle nod to the influence Amkiz began to have within the scene. Despite the lockdown, the track became a media hit.

His growth did not go unnoticed. Pedram Davoodi asked him to provide new music for the long-awaited comeback of Crunk’D Records, known for iconic releases such as Reloaded and La Revolution. For Amkiz, this was a second dream come true. He released ‘That Booty’ on a compilation album alongside established names, followed by a series of successful releases such as ‘Get Hype’, ‘Kick the Bass’, ‘The Dopest’, ‘Like a Rock’, ‘Bang to the Bass’, ‘Bass So Loud’, ‘Girlz’ and many others.
He also collaborated with artists such as Akyra, Davoodi, Bestien, Point Blanc and Xtortion.

During the same period, he participated in the DJ contest “The Dopest”, organised by Pavo & Playboyz, which he won convincingly — an important confirmation of his talent.

During the coronavirus pandemic, he noticed that Pat B had founded a new label together with Dustin Hertz. This prompted Amkiz to focus more strongly on jumpstyle and opened up new opportunities for him. He released “Dirty Ass!” and made an official remix of “Jump 2 the Rhythm” by Sektor9.

A new creative challenge: the return of Frenchtek (late 2024)

Towards the end of 2024, a new creative challenge arose for Amkiz: Frenchtek. Not in the form that was once all the rage on the scene, but in a fresh, modern style with a unique 2024 twist.
He sent a demo to Pedram Davoodi, who immediately showed interest because of the innovative approach. Davoodi suggested finishing the track together, along with Bestien, with the intention of releasing it on Crunk’D Records — a milestone for Amkiz.

Amkiz had also sent an initial draft to Tom Pintens (Point Blanc). He too was strongly convinced of its potential. They finished the track together and released it officially on Kitsune Records, Dany BPM’s label. This once again confirmed Amkiz’s versatility and his ability to innovate different styles within the harder genre.

Shortly afterwards, he collaborated again with Point Blanc on new jumpstyle productions, which were also completed and released jointly.

Today, DJ Amkiz continues to evolve. His style is characterised by power, innovation and a deep love for the harder music genres. With more and more releases, collaborations and recognition at home and abroad, he is determined to claim his place on the big stages — this time without restrictions.
